8th of December 2020 was the last day on set of a long feature debut by Aleksandra Terpińska. “Other People” is a film adaptation of a novel written by Dorota Masłowska with cinematography by Bartosz Bieniek and music made by Auer.
“Making a movie in these unprecedented times is definitely a challenge and a totaly new situation for the whole film industry – says Aleksandra Terpińska, director of the film – At the same time, for me personally, creating of my first long feature film despite the lockdown and 8 months break in shooting gives me lots of joy and excitement. From one hand, making a movie with such a long break creates lots of additional problems to resolve. But on the other hand I had much more time to edit the scenes that have already been shot, make additional rehearsals ana analize them. Thanks to that, when I came back on set, I knew exactly what I needed to shoot.”
OTHER PEOPLE is a hypnotizing story about a desperate search for love. The story of people involved in a love triangle in times of dissintegration of connetion, lifetime debts, diet caterings, cheap wine and constant social media hype. People who get lost in labirynths of boulevards and streets of Warsaw pulsating in the rhytm of hip-hop music. The prtagonists are accompanied in their everyday life by a narrator (Fabijański).
The film was produced by MADANTS a production company led by Klaudia Śmieja-Rostworowska and Beata Rzeźniczak. The cinema premiere is planned in Autumn of 2021.
