Szymon Kuriata’s documentary co-edited by Patrycja Piróg selected for dok.incubator 2022
A documentary “Man of Marble” directed by Szymona Kuriata was selected for the prestigious international dok.incubator workshop. The film is edited by Michał Poddębski, and the co-editor is Patrycja Piróg. It is the only Polish production that will take part in this year’s edition of the programme.
“Man of Marble” tells a story od Remik and Magda who got connected by adolescent love, then blown over by adulthood. We meet them when their son Franek is four years old. Remik trifles all days away enjoying beer while Magda gets more and more frustrated being the only one who does all the daycare responsibilities. It is a bittersweet study of disintegration and attemp of restoration the relationship of two young people who, by the arrival of a kid, were forced to enter the adult live faster than they had expected.
