Another female artist just joined our agency. Daria Woszek – a promising director of films, TV series and theatre plays, an author of award-winning films ” Dogcatcher” and “Marygoround”.
Daria is a graduate of Theatre Studies at the Jagiellonian University and Development Lab at Wajda School. She studied Film Directing at Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School in Katowice.
The world premiere of „Marygoround” took place on at prestigious SXSW Festival in USA. The film received multiple prizes e.g. for the best movie, best directing and best female role at Fantasia Festival in Montreal. “Maryjki” won the Gijon International Film Festival (2020) – one of the most important and oldest festivals for young creators, the film also received the Audience Award at MASTERCARD OFF CAMERA Festival in Kraków and the Studio Cinemas Award at the „Youth and Film” Festival in Koszalin in 2021.
In 2014 Daria directed the series “Saleem 3” which was broadcasted in the most important Asian TV stations. Her film „Dogcatcher” won the Rhode Island International Film Festival in 2016 and got the chance to apply for an Oscar nomination. On the same year it also received the Best Short Feature Film Prize in the „Young Cinema” competition in Gdynia.
Daria Woszek also directs theatre plays, such as: „Desdemona” by P. Vogel in Łaźnia Nowa Theatre in Łódź, „The Night Just Before the Forests” B.M. Koltes in Juliusz Słowacki Theatre. She was multimedia director in The Stanisław Moniuszko Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic—European Art Centre in Białystok: „The Haunted Manor”, „Korczak”, „Messa di Requiem”.
Right now Daria develops 5 feature projects. We are happy to be a part of her artistic journey.
