‘Call Me Tony’ tells a story of Konrad – an 18-year-old boy from a mining town in the south of Poland who dreams about becoming an actor and his whole life revolves around achieving this goal. He is trying to create his own image based on his favourite action movie heroes/stars, exercising at the gym for hours on end and participating in bodybuilding competitions. At the same time, he is persistent in seeking the attention of his absent father and fights an inner battle between his true self and the image he is trying to create. Everything changes when he rediscovers his former passion for acting.
